NYT import on iPhone & iPad

On iOS there is no Chrome-style extension for NYT import. Instead, you add a one-time Safari bookmark whose address is a short script. While signed in to NYT Games, open the puzzle in Safari, tap the bookmark, and Co-rossword imports that puzzle and opens your game.

• Works with your NYT Games subscription (signed in to nytimes.com in Safari)
• Reads the puzzle date from the NYT page URL (archive paths and ?date= links)
• Choose Across or Down when the import finishes

Install the bookmarklet

1. Copy the bookmarklet code below (tap Copy bookmarklet, or select all in the box and copy).
2. In Safari, open any page and tap the Share button → Add Bookmark. Name it Start Co-rossword game.
3. Open your bookmarks (book icon in the Safari toolbar), tap Edit, select the new bookmark, and tap the address field.
4. Delete the existing URL, paste the bookmarklet code, and save.

Using the bookmarklet

1. Sign in to NYT Games in Safari (nytimes.com/crosswords).
2. Open the crossword you want — today's page or an archive URL such as …/crosswords/game/daily/2026/05/03.
3. Tap your Start Co-rossword game bookmark.
4. When prompted, choose Across (Cancel) or Down (OK) to open your multiplayer game.

Daily NYT weekday puzzles (15×15 and 14×15) are supported. Sunday 21×21 puzzles are not supported.
